 Upper Canada from Ayrshire-Settled in Ayr Ontario until 1853. In 1854
 moved to Huron Township 11 Acres.In the first 20 years, his dwelling stood
 close to the Beach Rd. A corduroy road through hal of mile of bush led to the
 farm on the top of the hill. The beauty and wonder of that road in spring,
 summer and autumn, the house by the lake in the midst ofan orchard of fruit,
 and a garden of rare and beautiful flowers is a joy forever for those who carry it with them in their memories. McCrindle was na expert gardener and a botonist of no mean order.
