a. Note:   , 1841, and Baptized April 4, 1841 at North Newbald and George Baptized Sept. 18,1843 at the North Newbald Church. Jane emigrated to the U.S. with son William, father Thomas, and sisters Elizabeth and Sarah in July 1844. Jane may have been a milliner- dressmaker in North Prairie, above the Kabitzke store in 1866 with Mary Coats. Jane's son William was raised by his grandfather Thomas Cobb around North Prairie until Thomas died in 1852. William, then about 11 years of age, went to live with his Mother, and was listed as a farm laborer on the 1860 Fed. census @ John Burnell farm. William married Elizabeth Ebblewhite Oct. 29 1861 at Oconomowoc, Wi. They had five children between 1864 and 1875.
