Notes
a. Note:   Bridget Maguire #15630 Born about 1806-(1851 Census-lists her as age 45: 1861 census-as age54). I have no proof as to where she was born. She must have been marriedbefore 1822 ( first child William's birth). Nothing other than FatherWarnock's letter to connect he r to Maguiresbridge. Death -I believe that she died in Ottawa and was waked from the familyfarm on the Montreal Road. No place of burial has been found for her. E-mail Mon 26 Feb 2001 Lynn MARTIN Canada ========================================================================== On page 151 of the old registry in Notre Dame Cemetery, Vanier, Ont heres the facts... Bridget Maguire, wife of James Warnock, died Mar 28,1881, buried March 30. age 80 died of old age (written in french) Residence - Lourdes.
Bridget was buried in the Warnock plot No. 730 which James Warnock bought in 1880. The reference to Lourdes as her residence must refer to the church next to the cemetery which is Notre Dame De Lourdes
There is no record of her death on any of the stones in the plot and of course was not on any of the cards which were in place after her death.
This time around I was in contact with a very nice lady in the office who made mention of the old book (no one had before this) She could not photostat it for me but there you have it and a great day for me as I have been thinking about Bridget for a very long time......
She will be dead 120 years on March 28. Weather permitting I will putsome flowers on the grave lot.
