"At the home of her brother-in-law. Mr. John F. Dale, at an early hour on Saturday morning last, the spirit of Mrs. Samuel Dale escaped from its earthly tenement and soared away to that brighter world for which a consistant christian life had prepared it. Her death at the early age of 31 years, terminated a long and trying illness which was bourne with much patience and resignation. The deceased was a daughter of the late William Corrigan, of Clarendon. She leaves to mourn her early departure besides other relatives, a sorrowing husband, who has the warmest sympathy of the community in his great bereavement. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon to the Methodist church and cemetery and was one of the most largely attended witnessed here for some time."

"After a period of ill-health which began several years ago, and which gradually but surely sapped his vitality, Armand Dale, third son of the late John A. Dale, of this village, closed his eyes in Death's embrace at two o'clock on Wednesday morning last, at the age of 25 years. Armand was well-known throughout this district, having been engaged in the meat business for some time with his brother, Wilbur, and later on his own account as a buyer of poultry and other farm produce. This business he carried on till last fall, when the seriousness of his condition obliged him to give up. From that time on his decline became more rapid till the end, which brought a merciful deliverance from sufferings, long endured and at times very distressing. The deceased is survived by a sorrowing mother, one sister (Mrs. Arthur Dale) and two brothers (Wilbur and Fred) all of whom have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement. The funeral took place from the home of the deceased's mother on Friday afternoon, to the Methodist church. A large assemblage of people fro the village and surrounding country attended the service, which was conducted by the Rev. E.W. Crane, assisted by his son, Rev. C. Crane, of Colounge. The following young men acted as pallbearers:-Claude Shaw, Hiram Smiley, Len Dale, Hulbert Armstrong, Clifford Workman, and John Armstrong."
