"Mrs. Robert A. Dale passed away at 6 o'clock on Thursday morning last, in the 53rd year of her age, leaving to mourn her departure three sons- Cyril, Elwood and Lennis-who have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement. Besides these, the late Mrs. Dale (who was a daughter of the late Frank Scully of Leslie), is survived by four sisters and two brothers, namely: Mrs. W.H. Corrigan and Mrs. Arthur Queale, of Clarendon; Mrs. Wm. Sheppard, of McKee, Bristol; Mrs. Thos. Queale, of Leslie. The brothers are: George Scully, of Semans, Sask.; and David Scully, of Leslie. In Mrs. Dale's death the community sustains the loss of one who was held in high esteem by all who knew her. She was a woman of fine disposition; of thoughtful, kindly temperament. and the one who followed the principle of giving the best that was in her to the advancement of such things as were considered worthy of support. In church matters she was a devoted and zealous worker, and in that behalf for many years was one of the most faithful members of St' Paul's Church Guild-rarely ever being absent from a meeting if it were at all possible to be present; and in that particular sphere of her activities, her presence and wise counsel will be sadly missed and her departure long regretted by her co-workers of the Guild. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon to St. Paul's Church. Rev. J.D. Ellis conducted the service. Although the weather was very stormy, there was a large attendance. The pall-bearers were- W.H. Corrigan, Wm. Sheppard, Thos. Quaile, Earl Brownlee, Dalton Brownlee and Sam Dale. Floral tributes were received from the following: Pillow-The sons; Wreaths-The sisters; Mr.& Mrs. J.H.Findlay, Arnprior; St. Paul's Ladies Guild Sprays-Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Dale, Ottawa; Mr. & Mrs. Hector Hodgins, Ottawa; Mr. & Mrs. Dalton Brownlee and Earl Brownlee, Braeside; Mr. & Mrs. H. Millar and family; Mr.and Mrs. Geo. Eades; Mrs. George McCord etc."
