Curtis was the U. S. Attorney who administered the purchase of lands from the farmers which prepared the way for the building of huge dams in connection with the TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority). He was shot at more than once!
He later became the District Attorney of Oklahoma City, OK. He led an effective crusade against organized crime.
