From: ROBERT (BOB) WILDEMUTH, Sunday, August 31, 2003: I found that you have Elizabeth WILDERMUTH. It should be WILDEMUTH. Her father was Peter WILDEMUTH and her mother was BEATRIX ELIZABETH SMITH. There were three brothers that came to the United States in the 1840s. They were Nicholas WILDEMUTH, Christian WILDERMUTH and George WILTAMUTH. Peter was a son of Nicholas and was a brother of my gr. gr. grandfather. You also have Maude R. Wachtel being married to George J. WILDERMUTH. This is correct as he was descended from Christian WILDERMUTH. If you want to get more confused, a son of Christian became WILTERMUTH. Legend is that he was in the Civil War and the war records spelled his name that way. No one knows the actual reason for him spelling his name that way.
