From : Josef Kloppenborg <[email protected]@kborg.de> Sent : Tuesday, December 27, 2005 "Hallo Kerry, I have once more checked the spelling of the first names of the Kippenbrock, born on 4.4.1823. At the latest since 1848 he was called only Gerhard. So the spelling of his other first names is less important. For them I have two different sources: In an old family-book the spelling of the first names is: Johann Gerhard Joseph; this may be written down about 1900. In a family-tree from about 1950 the spelling is: Joan Gerhard Josef. I now have decided to use the earlier spelling.
The birthdate of Johann Gerhard Joseph Kippenbrock, April 4th, is correct.
The wife of Johann Gerhard Josepf Kippenbrock really was Elisabeth Abeler. I have never heard or read the name Christina Pleimann in connection with the Kippenbrock genealogy."
