There was no temple sealing cancellation. !OBITUARY: Funeral services for Surilla Coombs Cluff, age 83, of Pima, Arizona were conducted Saturday, February 14, 2004 at the Pima Arizona Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Dean Phillips. Concluding services followed in the Old Central Cemetery.Surilla Amelia Coombs Cluff was born April 11, 1920, in Central, the daughter of Nathan Eugene and Eva Echols Coombs. Her family relocated several times in her youth because Surilla's father worked as a farmer and, later, as the sexton of the Mesa City Cemetery. She grew up in Central, Snowflake and Mesa, obtaining her education from Thatcher, Pima and Mesa schools. Following her formal education, Surilla enrolled in classes at the Lamson Business College of Mesa. Soon thereafter, she began working with the city of Mesa as a clerk in accounting offices. Throughout her life, Surilla was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her willing hands served in many capacities including young women's secretary, ward librarian, ward choir member, visiting teacher, temple worker at the Mesa Arizona Temple, and a Family History Center Mission from 1982-1984. Surilla passed away Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004 in Williams, Arizona.Surilla is survived by her two daughters, Eva Ruth (Roxen) Cureton of Williams, Kathleen (Darl) Packer of Pima; her son, Dale (Martha Jane) of Mesa; a sister, Zenna Bowman of Mesa; a brother, Arnold Coombs of Florida; 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Her great-grandson, Grant Edmund Diehl, preceded Surilla in death.Arrangements were entrusted to Bunker's Caldwell Chapel, Safford, Arizona. !BURIED: Old Central Cemetery
