Note: Was born at 68 Bradley Street, then moved to 14 Warwick Street, Walkley - only had an outside toilet. Moved to 117 Springvale Road c. 1943. Passed to go to Girl's High School but wasn't allowed to go by her parents - instead got a full scholarship to Gregg's Business College. [notes from conversation with Marjorie on 17.10.03]
MM remembers going to Great Hucklow holiday home with her cousin Mary Formstone when she was about 12. She remembers sending for her tap shoes for a show they put on.
Marjorie's ashes are buried at Upper Hurst Farm, Hathersage, Hope Valley, Derbyshire, the home of her daughter, Josie Bennett. They are buried next to the remains of her dog, Becky, who she adored.
