a. Note:   !Source: Eisenhower Lineage and Reference, by Fannie B. Richardson, 1956, page 25 has this man as the son of George Michael Eisenhauer and Catherine. It also says, "Family legend is that Johannes or John Eisenhauer and his family went to Schuylkill Co. from over the Blue Mountain in Berks Co., Pa., about the year 1810, settling in what is now Union Twp., about a mile east of Ringtown, on a farm which he cleared; this farm was formerly in Agusta Twp., Northumberland Co., before the new county formation. A half acre of his farm was set aside for a cemetery and where he, his wife and several of their children are buried. The first burial there was a son Jacob in the year 1815. A church was erected on this site in 1842 known as Old White Church; previously a long cabin built in 1820 wa used for a school and church until the new church was erected. The first electors of the township were Daniel and John Eisenhauer, that was when Union Twp. was annexted to Schuylkill Co. John Eisenhauer was fourth postmaster of that valley then called Catawissa Valley, had the post office at his farm residence.
