Note: wanted to know where the bread was. He raised Treeing Walker coondogs trained and hunted them. He said he swam across Eagle Mtn Lake when he was 14yo. We spent part of every summer at Fortune Bend on the Brazos River where he ran lines and went grappling for big catfish. He built a helicopter of spare parts and flew it over the trees. When he landed my Grannie chopped it up with a chopping axe. He was released from the military on a medical discharge for a brain tumor. They gave him six months to live. 40 yrs later he died of a heart attack. He was the most wonderful grandfather anyone could have. He built everything from motorcycles to boats.
Note: My Paw grew up on the North side of Ft Worth TX. He told me stories about when he was 7-8 yo his mama gave him a nickel for a loaf of bread, he hopped a train to OK and he came home a week later. She
