Note: Small Bible I have a small bible (New Testament) that belonged to my Father Kirby Newman Sr., on the first page it says: Kirby Newman Jan.6 - 1918 a present by his Sunday School teacher miss Elie Marie Frazee Rushville Ind it is written in pencil and difficult to read but I am pretty sure this is what it says. Also in pencil but very clear is information on the last page of this bible about some of the Newman children. The first one is Lorretta L . Newman Borned 3-15 Sunday morning Nov. 20-1937. The next one is Edward C. Newman Borned Saturday morning at 1-30 March 11-1939. The last one is Shirley Ann Newman Borned July 11-1940 at 3-15 Thursday afternoon. While I have copied Mom and Dad's Marriage License into my computer I am now going type exactly what it says: Marriage License The State Of Ohio, Butler County, S.S. To any person legally authorized to solemnize marriages in the state of Ohio I, GIDEON PALMER, Judge of the probate court within and for the county and state aforesaid, have licensed and do hereby LICENSE AND AUTHORIZE Mr. (Signed by) Kirby Newman AND (Signed by) Miss Mildred Wahl To be joined in Marriage In Witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the seal of said court, at Hamilton, Ohio, this 16th Day Of June A.D. 1928 (signed) Gideon Palmer JUDGE OF THE PROBATE COURT By (Signed) Mary Steodtbeck DEPUTY CLERK When Kirby Newman and Mildred moved their family to Jerome Idaho, they were able to rent a house from Arno Johnson. After getting married in Hamilton Ohio, Mildred and Kirby Newman moved to Rushville in 1930. Only one child was born in Hamilton and that was Kirby Newman Jr. SSN # 306 12 0888
