 Jay Ogg -- Rochester
 9/14/2007 11:27:22 AM ROCHESTER -- The funeral for Jay Ogg will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Rochester, with the Rev. Steve Ronningen officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood East Cemetery, Rochester.
 Mr. Ogg, 85, a retired IBM employee, died Thursday (Sept. 13, 2007) at Saint Marys Hospital.
 Born June 3, 1922, in Gladwin, Mich., he graduated from high school in 1940. He attended Michigan Tech in 1941, enrolled in the ROTC Army Corps of Engineers from 1943 to 1945, and graduated from Michigan Tech in 1947. From 1947 to 1983, he was employed by IBM as an electrical engineer. He worked in Green Bay, Wausau, Appleton and Manitowoc, all in Wisconsin, from 1947 to 1953; Poughkeepsie and Kingston, both in N.Y., from 1953 to 1965; Gaithersburg, Md., from 1965 to 1970; and Rochester from 1970 to 1983. Mr. Ogg married Dorothy Reetz on Oct. 28, 1950, in Appleton. He was a member of the Kiwanis West Club and Elder Network.
 He is survived by his wife; a son, Tom (Gwen) of Woodinville, Wash.; a daughter, Laurie (Alan) Pearson of White Bear Lake, Minn.; and two sisters, Avis Condra of Gladwin and Ruth (Floyd) Crockett of Midland, Mich. Other survivors include four grandchildren, Heidi and Heather Ogg, and Eric and Michael Pearson. He is also survived by Wanda and Helen Ogg, both of Gladwin, Marion Reinke of Appleton, Helen Reetz of Louisville, Ky., and Ed (Donna) Moore of Green Lake, Wis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Eva Ogg; four brothers; and a sister.
 Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester, and an hour before the service Monday at the church.
 Memorials are preferred to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church or Parkinson's disease research.
