Continued: Frederick C. Dimock TAUNTON -- Frederick Chester Dimock, 83, of Taunton died Monday, Aug. 4, 1997, at his daughter's home after a long illness. He was the husband of Louise D. (Pero) Dimock, his wife of 54 years. Born in Newton, he was the son of the late William and Marion (Chester) Dimock, and in his younger years traveled with his parents in a professional theater company, playing Little Lord Fauntleroy. A graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School, he was a production supervisor at Seavey Witt in Waltham until his retirement 14 years ago. He also worked at Paragon Gear Works in Taunton, was a former director of an apprentice program at Taunton Engineering and was a member of the New Bedford Auxiliary Police during World War II. Mr. Dimock was a 50-year member of the Quittacas Lodge, AF & AM, in New Bedford, and was Past Dad Adviser to the Taunton Chapter of the Order of Demolay. Active in the Taunton Duck Pin Church Bowling League, he was former president of the Pine Street and Mulcahey School Parent-Teacher Associations and the Taunton High School Parent-Teacher-Student Association. An antique-automobile enthusiast, he was a life member of the Old Colony Historical Society. He was the local representative for the Dave Maynard Sunday radio amateur hour. Mr. Dimock attended Pilgrim Congregational Church in Taunton and formerly attended Winslow Congregational Church. He enjoyed summering on Cape Cod. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Alice Newman of Taunton; two sons, Frederick C. Dimock II of Newfields, N.H., and Danforth L. Dimock of East Taunton; a sister, Joyce Teft of Fayetteville, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be planned at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Service Inc., 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton.
