 Thomasville Times Enterprise - July 25, 2003
  Funeral services for Amos Lee Bentley of Thomasville will be held Saturday,
 July 26, 2003, at 10 a.m. at the Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Harold
 Thomaston and Rev. Jeff Carter will officiate and interment will follow at
 Sunset Memorial Gardens.
  Mr. Bentley passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2003. Mr. Bentley was a WWII Army Veteran and a retired mechanic. He was born in Mitchell County on November 18, 1924, to the late Buddy and Laura H. Bentley.
  Mr. Bentley was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church. He is survived by
 his wife, Lessie T. Bentley of Thomasville; a son and daughter-in-law, Don and
 Carol Bentley of Manassee, Va.; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Glen
 Stickland of King George, Va.; and a daughter, Candace Anderson of Avon Park,
 Fla.; grandchildren, Brian Stickland and Todd Strickland of Virginia, Dakota
 Anderson of Avon Park, Fla., and Ashley and Kaylee Bentley of Virginia; a step-
 son and daughter-in-law; Robert and Peggy Pollock of Lake Blackshear; a step-
 daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Mike Brooks of Thomasville; and step-
 grandchildren, Josh Pollock and Cal Pollock of Albany, Robin Mills of Brewton,
 Ala., and Kevin Brooks of Thomasville; and six great grandchildren.
  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 808 Gordon Ave., Thomasville, Ga., 31792. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

 Our prayers are with you and your family. I apologize for not being able to attend the services but my sister's wedding is tomorrow. Uncle Amos was very special to me. I remember him hunting on Saturdays around the house.
