He then moved his family from Missouri in 1941 or 1942 to Big Foot, Wisconsin, and from there to Pingree Grove, Illinois, then to rural Sandwich, Illinois. Harold worked on farms in these communities. He and his wife Blanche then moved from the farm to Sandwich in the fall of 1955. Harold was a butcher until his retirement, approx. 1969. They bought a home in Plano,IL approx. 1960 and lived there until his death on Sept.1, 1981. Blanche then moved to a senior retirement home later that fall. Blanche sold their home at 501 N.
