  Albert Pike Word was the son of Orville Crawford Word and Elizabeth Wilcox (Hays) Orville Crawford Word was born 12 Oct., 1813, in Kentucky. He died 25 July, 1867, in Washburn, Ark. He married 13 Jan, 1845, in Calloway Co, Mexico, Mo., Eliza Wilcox Hays. Eliza Wilcox Hays was born 1824, in Missouri, and died 1903 in Ft. Smith Ark. Albert Pike Word was their only child. Eliza Wilcox Hays was the daughter of William Hays b1780 Boone Station, Ky, d1845 Calloway Co., Mo. and Phobe Stevens b BET 1805/1820, Died abt. 1861. William Hays was the son of William Hays b1754, North Carolina, d 13 Dec. 1804, in St. Charles, Mo. William Hays married 1775, Blackmore Station on the Clinch River, VA to Susannah Boone, b 11 Feb., 1760, at Yadkin Valley, Rowan Co., NC, and died 9 Oct. 1800 in Missouri. Susannah Boone was the daughter of the Great Pioneer, and one of America's favorite son's, Daniel Boone. Daniel married Rebecca Bryan. By this marriage of Orville Word and Eliza Hays, all of their descendents and siblings, now and for future generations, are either Grand Daughter's or Grand Son's of the great Daniel Boone.
