  !Donald met Irene at the Park Steam Laundry in Junction City, Kansas where they both worked. Their first date was Jan. 8, 1923 - they went to the movie "Adam & Eva". He proposed Jan. 26 and she accepted Jan. 29. Irene's father James A. Smythe denied Donald's request for her hand because he was a Catholic. He gave her a diamond Feb. 5 and they were married Apr. 18 at 2:30PM at the parsonage at St. Xavier's Church in Junction City, by Father O'Brien. Witnesses were Mrs. J. A. Willet and Mrs. Dague. Their first home was 418 S. Washington St. in Junction City. The Willets ran the Park Steam Laundry. They were Catholics and converted Donald to the Catholic faith.
  !The family lived on West Sixth Ave. in the Smokey Hill Twp. in Geary Co. in 1930- his occupation truck driver for a laundry.
  !"Marriages Smythe-Page Mr. and Mrs L. E. Page have received an announcement of the marriage of their son, Donald, to Miss Irene Smythe on April 18th, at Junction City. Rev. Father O'Brien performed the ceremony. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Smythe of Junction City. She is a graduate of the high schools at that place and later was employed in one of the stores in that city. Mr. Page is a former Beloit boy, the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Page who reside at 422 N. Chestnut St. Donald left Beloit a few years ago to attend the St. Francis Xavier's High School at Junction City, from which he graduated in 1921. He is now working in Junction City, where he and his bride will be at home at 1104 N. Adams Street."

  !Donald and Irene divorced 1933, Junction City, during the height of The Great Depression. Donald finally found employment in Oklahoma with the federal Works Project Agency "WPA", and his name appeared on various maps prepared then for east central Oklahoma. It was there that he met his second wife. They later moved to Los Angeles.
  !Shopkeeper (auto parts), and engine mechanic. Had shops in Los Angeles, and later in Flomaton, Alabama after he moved there near the original home of his third wife.

Page, age 59, of Flomaton, Ala. died last Tuesday in a Pensacola, Florida hospital. Mr. Page was a native of Missouri and had resided in Flomaton for the last year and a half. He was a member of the Flomaton Methodist Church, the Flomaton Lions Club, and he was owner and operator of Page's Auto Parts and Service in Flomaton. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Flomaton Methodist Church with Rev. Carl Couliette and Rev. Bobby Jackson officiating. Burial was in the Flomaton Cemetery with the Flomaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Blanche Page of Flomaton, three sons, Donald E. Page, Jr. of Iran, Robert Page of Los Angeles, Calif., and Danny Page of New York City, N. Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Stoughton and Mrs. Carol Honsaker both of Los Angeles, Calif.; one brother Dale Page of Junction City, Kansas and eight grandchildren.
