a. Note:   Grandpa was working on high scaffolding, during the construction of Shea's Buffalo Theater. Some how he lost his footing and fell, injuring himself sufficiently to end his career ( See 50th anniversary news clipping)
 He was a great gardener, even in his later years, he would spade the garden, do the planting and cultivating all by hand! He also had apple and peach trees.
 We have been told that Grandpa did much of the finish carpentry on the homestead at 33 Garvey which GGF Henry. Haack had built for them.
