Gore, a well known resident of this section, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thomas Fleming on Gorden Creek, on Thursday, October 27, 1910, as a result of dropsy and old age. The funeral services were conducted last Friday in the City Cemetery, where the remains were laid at rest. Orion L. Gore was born in Ohio and he was 79 years and 6 months old at the time of his death. He came to this section 25 years ago and remained here the greater part of the time. He leaves numerous relatives, including Mrs. Thomas Fleming, Mrs. Wm Enos, Mrs. J. L. Teeler and L. A. Rose, daughters to mourn his loss. He was well known here and leaves many friends to mourn his loss. (Published in the 'Elgin Recorder', Elgin, Washington on 3 November 1910) . OBIT: Died Oct 27th, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thos. Fleming, at Elgin, Oregon, Mr. O. L. Gore, at the age of 79years. Mr. Gore was the father of Mrs. U. R. Johnson of this city. He leaves five daugthers and one son to mourn his loss.
