"My grandfather was named Fordeas Farnum, or so he persisted in spelling it. He was a plasterer by trade and a hard working man, much respected though poor. He came to Rochester, NY and died there when in his 60th year. His wife was a MacDonald and their children that I know of, were Bela, Thomas, Wealthy, Maria, Ann and Harriet. The latter, I visited at Rising Sun, Iowa in 1866. She had 3 children with her then grown." (Who wrote this letter?) . In 1821 a Wealthy Farnum married Philo Patterson at Penfield (Monroe Co?) - check out if possible... This information came from a Rochester, NY newspaper index in the Runnell Library.

This land was the land Maria W. Taylor lived on and owned at the time of her death. . PROBATE: Hancock Co, Illinois - Welthy Underhill, Box 146 Carthage, Hancock, Illinois - Executor: Huron G. Taylor 22 Apr 1882. Wealthy died 11 Mar 1882 at her home. Wealthy only heir at law was her sister, Maria W. Taylor.
