From information sent from Chuck Dudley (4007 Via Manzana, San Clemente, CA 92672) to Jim Underwood - "John and brother Ruben killed buffalo for the railroad before buying wheat farms in Marquette, Kansas. Bad crops and weather urged a move. Ruben to Washington state and John to a peach orchard in S. W. Colorado. John bragged of killing 2000 head of buffalo."
