Note: Ray was a plumber and also a pioneer Midget Race Car driver. He was the 1948 UARA Champion in the Southern District and was slated to race in Indianapolis in 1950 but was too badly injured is a previous race. During the Second World War he was a Chief Petty Officer in the CBs' stationed in the Pacific.
