  John purchased seat 38 at the Chapel of Ease, Norrieston for a cost of �6-11s -11�d. His first payment was made on June 13 1812 amounting to �2-2s-3d and his final payment on April 1815 was �0-5s-7d. Thus making a total of �6-12s. The seat was sold to William Taylor of Norrieston on 3 Apr 1818.
  John was buried next to his parents in Norrieston Churchyard in Thornhill.
