Note: Ebenezer was quite a prominent man in his part of Conneticut--the GAY-HOYT House still stands in Litchfield and is owned by the historical society. He was first married to Ann COLES, then to Elizabeth FAIRBANKS. He and Elizabeth had 8 children. It was these siblings who migrated to Pennsylvania.
Ebenezer Gay, (1725-87), served as deputy from Sharon and as lieutenant colonel of militia when Tryon invaded the colony. He was born in Litchfield; died in Sharon, Conn. Also Nos. 3503, 20072.
