The IGI shows Edward and Fear as Sealed 29 Nov 1989 Slake Temple.
1870 of Ill. says that James R0se Ball was born in Rhode Island. However one says that he was born in New York. I have discovered that he was born in Rhode Island.
James then migrated down to Freedom, Cattargus Co. NY in about 1825 he was listed with one of his sons Alvin, and a Edward, Sanford, as buying land and raising their families in that area. They then moved onward to DuPage Co. Ill in 1840 were they were listed as purchasing land Alvin was and in 1870 James R was shown as living in the household of Alvin with. James R wifes name was Elizabeth Owen age 51 and James R was 71 so was quite an age difference. I know there must have been an earlier wife due to all of the different ages of the children.
I am really interested in finding out about his parents Edward and Fear and their parents etc. as well as any children I have missed. I was interested in finding out were you are connected into the Balls. This was not mentioned in your letter to Doris or the date. I am hoping this finds you well and will be anxious to hear from you. Was Fear a Quaker from Southold Shelter Island off Long Island?? etc. Please let me know if I might have any information that may be of help to you.
