a. Note:   There was a woman named Reader who had a child while she was living in the house with David L and Mary M Sells. A woman named Edna Walker from Springfield, MO. that corresponded with Dorothy B Sells Zachary and Susy Ethel Sells Zachary back in l975 or before. She was trying to trace an ancestor that was named Reader. This person lived in the house with David & Mary. Pleasent Henry claimed the child but for some reason she thought it was really David L. that was the father.
Mother (Ethel Sells) & (Dorothy Sells) had a list of the children of David L. and Mary M.. This information was from what they called "Grant's list."
The house they lived in was made of square logs, and was still there as late as 1946 and in good condition. At some time or other the logs were covered over with boards. It had two rooms with a sleeping attic for the boys. The fire space had one stone for the hearth and one for the mantel. The 1st David Leander's powder horn was found in the walls when Rebecca Janes, son Floyd decided to tare it down and build a new house on the same site.
All of the children of David Leander and Sarah Amanda were born in Livingston, Tenn. R.F.D.2. is NOT responsible for the content of the GEDCOMs uploaded through the WorldConnect Program. The creator of each GEDCOM is solely responsible for its content.
