a. Note:   William D. "Bill" Marker, 96, of Stahlstown, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, in UPMC Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born April 8, 1916, in Stahlstown, Pa. a son of the late August and Gertrude Overly Marker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Billy Ray Marker; three brothers, Carl, Glenn and Merle Marker; and two sisters, Opal Meckling and Regina Leasure. Bill is survived by his wife of 75 years, Dortha Marker, of Stahlstown; a daughter, Shirley Nichols and her husband, Bob, of Stahlstown; two grandchildren, J. Douglas Nichols and his wife, Terry, of Montana, and Marcy Ogrinc and her husband, Christopher, of Ohio; six great-grandchildren, Tammy, Jennifer, Douglas, Deanna, William and Simon; four great-great- grandchildren, Hunter, Wyatt, Kaleb and Angel; a sister, Garnet Overly and her husband, Oscar, of Stahlstown; three brothers, James Marker and his wife, Nancy, of Mt. Pleasant, Ronald Marker and his wife, Beverly, of Stahlstown, and Larry Marker, of Connellsville. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the L. BOYD SNYDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 332 Church St., Donegal. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Keith Deckinger officiating. Interment will follow in the Donegal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, P.O.
