a. Note:   Came to US about 1856 at about 2 years of age. 1900 census shows Charles and Ella together in Bay County, MI. Ella re-married in 1902 to Mahoney. Must have been divorced some time between 1900 and 1902 in Bay County, Michigan. In 1910 Everett is living in Genesee County MI with Charles J Green (No others) I am certain that he re-married some time after his marriage to Ella Pomeroy because his 1910 census shows him as widowed and Ella was still alive and re-married to Mahoney in 1902. 1920 census shows him in Genesee County by himself at age 74. On his census records, brithplaces and dates are almost always different. Earliest record is his marriage record to Ella Pomeroy, so I assume his birthdate is more correct at 1854. Dora B Shook can't be the wife of this Charles because his 1910 census shows him as widowed and there is a 1920 census with Charles and Dora in it still living in Barien county, MI. He is most likely still living in Genesee County, MI by himself in 1920 showing as widowed, although the birth places do not match. I am now assuming he died between 1920 and 1930 because I cannot locate a 1930 census with him on it. Chas. J. Green D. 12/8/1920 in Genesee County Cemetery. Old Flint Cemetery. Death Certificate shows him living in Flint and shows his parents as unknown and widowed and had been living in Flint since 1904. POssible addres was 211 N lincoln ave. bay city in 1893--1895 Since Ella and Charles were not together in Genesee County, and that on the death certificate found for charles it states that he's lived in Flint since 1904 and Ella remarried in 1902, I ASSUME that Ella and charles were divorced before 1902.
