Note: In the 1881 census a David Hall was resident at 52 Millgate, Selby. At the time of the census he was 7 years old (d.o.b. ab out 1874) , a scholar or schoolboy and was lived with his parents and siblings.
His father (George - aged 36) was a brewer and his mother (Sarah - aged 32) was described as a brewer`s wife. Other children in the family included George (11), Mary E (5), John(4), William (2) and Sarah A. (17weeks).
David Hall would have been about 19 years old when he married Mary Ellen Seymour.
