a. Note:   Frederick William Brown became a railway man like his father and other members of the family.
 By the time of the 1901 census at the age of 17 he was employed as an office clerk and was living in Willesden. It is likely that he worked at Willesden Junction where his father was a night station master.
 He married in 1909 at the age of 26 whilst a Clerk and living at 54 Stewart Street, Nuneaton so had presumably moved to the area to work. Nuneaton was on the LNWR line annsd his father was then station master at Lichfield on the same line.
 Fred and Beatrice had a son, Edward Kenneth ( 4th September 1910 and were living at 100 Coton Chilvers, Coton, Nuneaton.
 Some time later the family moved to The Bungalow, Weddington Road, Nuneaton. Fred died on 13th April 1940 aged 56 - cause of death being septic arthritis of the sacro-iliac joint. The following obituaryhas been located.
 THE LATE MR.F.W.BROWN
 Chief Control Clerk at Nuncaton Trent Valley Station
  The death took place at Nuneaton General Hospital on Saturday morning, of Mr Frederick WiIliam Brown, of the Bungalow. Weddington Lane, Nuneaton. at the age of 56 years. The deceased was chief control clerk at Nuneaton Trent Valley Station. He had served on the railway for about forty years, the greater part of the time being at Nuneaton - Until a few years ago. Mr. Brown was a member of the Nuneaton Abbey Street Methodist Church Choir and took part in a number of oratorios that were held at the time at the Church. Deceased was Secretary of the Nuneaton Railway Servants' Refreshments Society. About five years ago he had a serious illness from which he never really recovered. He was admitted to the Nuneaton Hospital about a month ago and had undergone an operation.
 Deceased leaves a widow and one son. Mr. E.K.Brown, who is a teacher at Queen's Road School and a well known Nuneaton cricketer.
  The Funeral
 Representatives of the Nuneaton (Trent Valley) L.M.S. Railway were present at the funeral which took place at Nuneaton Cemetery, at noon on Tuesday.A service prior to the interment was conducted in the Cemetery Chapel by Canon l.L.White. Vicar of Nuneaton. who also officiated at the graveside.
 The mourners were: Mr.E.K.Brown (son): MrJames Brown (brother): Mr.l-Iarry Brown. [step-brother): Miss Ada Brown and Mrs.N.Lane. both of London (sisters): and Mr.George Mosedale (brother in law). The bearers were Messrs. .J.Stanton (platform inspector Nuneaton L.M.S.Railway). T.A,Davies (control staff). W.Ramm (assistant to the deceased. R.Fox (guard). l.Howlett [guard] and H.Clark (shunter). Other railway representatives present were Traffic Inspector B.White. and Mr.T.C.Allcock. Rugby (representing the NuneatonStation (Coffee Tavern).
 Wreaths were sent by his loving wife and son Ted: Jim. Hetty and family: Ada and Nell: Mother. Kathleen. Margaret and Winnie (Lichfield): Harry and Amy: George and Emily: Fred and Nell: Ruth: Ted and Gertie: Hettie and Cyril: Iris Hoddell: Nuneatou Railway Refreshment Society: District Controller and
 Staff Trent Valley Station: Traffic and coaching departments of the Nuneaton Station.
