Note: d his country through the United States Navy, where he served as a gunner and a barber during World War II. He is also a life member of the New Lexington Eagles Aerie 2070, Local 1340 UMWA and was a Methodist by faith.Clifford is survived by four daughters, Dianna Kay Seastrand of Zanesville, Kimberly (Burl) Hardin of Redfield, Kelly Lynn (John) Jarvis of Zanesville and Janet A. (Jack) Howerth of New Lexington; a son, Leeroy (Kathryn) Saxton of Redfield; a brother, Elmer Saxton of Lancaster; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Clifford was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Mae Grandstaff Saxton, who passed away Dec. 26, 2003; his parents, Elmer and Mary Pace Saxton; a great-grandson, Cade Allen Saxton; half brothers, Charles "Heavy" Taylor and Bill Taylor; and a sister, Laura Saxton Lehman.
