a. Note:   t her home. The daughter of Bernie and Cora Welch Morris, she was born Oct. 14, 1927 in Vinton County, Ohio. In 1968, she left Ohio to make her home in Indiana, In addition to being a busy homemaker, Betty was an employee of the Weatherhead Co. and the Dana Corporation where she was a machine operator. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ervin Hughes; sons, John (Gencvia) Herrell of Marion, IL. and Paul (Carolyn) Herrell of Nappanee, IN.; daughters, Carol (John) Morris of Jackson, and Linda Herrell of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Alice Beabout of St Petersburg, FL., Eliza Woltz of McArthur, and Polly Byrd of Jackson; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers. Her family will be accepted friends on Sunday, Feb. 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. P. Rogers Funeral Home, 120 West Broadway, Wellston. Services were held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with Father Donald Maroon of the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church officiating; burial followed in the Pattonsville Cemetery
