Note: Chief telegraph operator at the Halifax terminals where he served 30 years. He was a member of St Johns Masonic Lodge and a vestryman of St Marks Church. He never married. In later years he presented two beautiful standards of brass set off with seven branches and lights on each to the above church in memory of his mother.
