Note: Wilber Squire Hart was associated with his father in the shoe business. On the death of his father in 1929 he became the proprietor of Hart's Shoe Store, which, at the time was the oldest established shoe business in Halifax. Later he carried on the shoe findings business on Hollis St, under the name of E.M.Tanner & Son. In his early days Mr Hart was interesed in shell racing and won honours for the North West Arm Rowing Club. He was also a charter member, past president and honorary member of the Armdale Kiwanis Club.
