Note: Born in Summerside and educated in Prince of Wales College, graduated from NB Normal school and McGill University where he obtained a degree of B Sc and won the British Association Medal. After graduation he held positions as an instructor in mathematics at the University of NB, Montreal High School and elsewhere. He was an innovative teacher giving pupils samples, having them make drawings of it, then having them make theobject from their drawings. He also wrote several text books including the Elementary Physics Notebook.
