Notes
a. Note:   Per Clayton Bradeen:
Sometime in the period between 1885 and 1889, Oliver moved his family to Otter River, Mass., where he worked as a telegraph operator for the railroad (probably the Boston & Albany road). They moved from Otter River to Plimpton, Mass., then to Middleboro, Mass. Between 1896 and 1898 they moved back to Maine at North Lincoln. They later moved to Old Town, Maine and he began building houses and other carpenter work. It is understood that he built the first wooden house for the Chief of the Penobscot Indians on the Island north of Old Town. He built the family house on Jefferson Street using some of the timbers and flooring he salvaged from the school house which had burned down across the road from our house. He built quite a few new houses in Old Town.
