Note: Records are located on page 120 of the 1817 records of the town of Glenburn. Listing the parents (John and Jane) and Amos E. being born in that year. Then in this same book and page, all of the subsequent children are also listed. I have a copy of this page. About two pages beyond, in this same volume is a listing for a Joseph Garmon family. Marriage performed by Rev. D. H. Mansfield. Shown in Bangor Daily Whig of Apr 22 (as "in this city" GOrman & both from Bangor) in 1850 census as Emerson Letter A range 6 Penobscot, Maine, apparently a labor camp (Logging?) In the Glenburn Lakeview Cemetery is an Amos Emerson b.2/16/1776 and died 10/16/1855. This may have been the Namesake.
