  In the book, "Georgia Bible Records," compiled by Jeannette HollandAustin, there is a listing of a William Reed Bible owned by LauraMcClain Mallon (p. 359). In this listing of births and deaths, JoshuaReed is listed. But it is hard to tell who his parents were for thereis only one couple listed, William and Frances Reed. William was born8 May 1756 and died 9 July 1840. Frances was born 12 Sept 1760 anddied 7 June 1836. Joshua was born 30 Oct 1825. This would mean thatFrances was 65 when Joshua was born. More research could be done onthis.

  There is also a baby listed last in this household as Henry D.(?)Melton. Henry is seven months old and born in November. It is notclear at this date, 26 Jan 1998, how Henry is related or if he isrelated.
