Note: wagon. They lived in a sod house. They settled on a farm 1 1/2 milesnorth and 1/2 west of Dacoma. There were three boys and six girls inher family. They attended school and church in the sod building westof Dacoma. Perry (Clara's husband) bought a farm for $300 three miles south andtwo west of Dacoma. He built a sod house, lived in it for over twoyears, then built two rooms on in 1901. The Ross farm is still in thesame name, as Loyd Ross, youngest of the family, owns it. Part of theold house is standing. There were seven children born; Ann, Pearl, Carmalette, a son born in1912 who lived only a few minutes, Grace, Robert, and Loyd. Pearl married Harley Davis; Anna married Fred Mills; Carmalettemarried Leonard Murrow; Grace married Merle Leslie; Robert marriedMadean Jeffries; Loyd married Vergie Haltom. They are all livingexcept Fred and Leonard."

"Funeral Saturday for Mrs. Clara Jane Ross Dacoma - Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Jane (Jennie) Ross, 90, willbe at 2 p.m., Saturday in the Christ Bible Church at Dacoma. Rev.Ninemire and Rev. Shook will officiate with burial in Garrisoncemetery under direction of Wentworth Funeral Home. She died Wednesday in an Alva hospital. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Anna Mills; Alva; Mrs. Pearl Davis,Forgan; Mrs. Carmoletta Murrow, Dacoma, and Mrs. Grace Leslie Dacoma;two sons, Robert in Connecticut and Lloyd of Dacoma; 12 grandchildren;18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and two sisters,Betha Lute in California and Lilly Kratschmer in Kansas."
