Note: Mellie Melton. But I have not been able to locate them in the 1900 or1910 censuses. More research needs to be done on this. On another email from Ginger Dingus, she lists notes from DorothyGilbert that show "Ruth Edith Melton dau of D I and Mellie Melton1903-1905." Maybe Ruth was born in 1903 and died in 1905. It alsostates that Ruth is buried in Davis Cemetery. I have checked the bookof Cobb County Cemeteries and there is no Ruth Edith Melton buried inthat cemetery or any other cemetery in that county. So maybe this isfamily knowledge. There is a Melton infant buried in Mt. HarmonyBaptist Church Cemetery next to James W. Melton, but there are nodates listed.
