  Ivan was the president of the board for the Little Walnut-HickoryWatershed in Butler County, Kansas.
  The following is taken from the "El Dorado Times" dated 21 March 1974.
  "The Ivan Sewards Observed Anniversary
  Ivan and Lizzie Seward observed their 50th wedding anniversary thismonth. They enjoyed a three-day trip in 'celebration' of theoccasion.
  Mr. and Mrs. Seward drove first to Enid, Oklahoma, for a visit withtheir granddaughter, Cathy Seward, who is a junior in PhillipsUniversity, taking a course in physical therapy.
  Ivan and Lizzie went on into western Oklahoma where they enjoyed thebeauty of the Wichita Mountains and visited the Holy City. They spentthe night and the following day with Mr. and Mrs. Jones Graves,friends of long standing, in Lawton, Oklahoma. The four enjoyedsightseeing and visiting.
  Children and grandchildren of the Sewards gave each of them anappropriate gift for their golden wedding anniversary -- a goldwatch."

Casket Bearerswere: Norman Steele, Leroy Larson, Jim Knox, Willard Morgan, WalterWoods, and Russell Matthews. Honorary Bearers were: George Coulter,E. L. Hogue, Rolla Dilts, Claude Gilliland, Will Dixon, WilburMarshall, Harold Jones, and Bryant Anderson. Masonic gravesideservices conducted by Joppa Lodge No. 223, A.F. & A.M.; Arley Kistler,orator.

Note:   Ivan's funeral service was held at the Leon United Methodist Church in
