Note: The following obit was found in the "El Dorado Times." (date unknown) "Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Seward Elizabeth 'Lizze' Seward, 90, of Augusta, formerly of Leon, diedSaturday morning, Feb. 19, 1994 at the Augusta Medical Complex.Services were held Monday at the Leon United Methodist Church. Burialwas in the Leon Cemetery. She was born Jan. 23, 1904, in Leon, the daughter of Earnest R. andAlice McCaffree Sutter. She was a homemaker and lived in Leon all herlife. She was a member of the Leon United Methodist Church and aformer member of the Eastern Star. On March 14, 1924, she and Ivan C. Seward were married. He died Nov.15, 1976. Survivors include: sons, Darrell of Augusta, Ernie of Bella Vista,Ark.; daughter, Janice Broadhurst of Cresskill, N. J.; sister,Earnestine Gibb of Leon; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by two sons and three sisters. Memorials are to the Leon Methodist Church. Carlson Funeral Home hasthe arrangements."

Casket Bearers were: Harold Hammer,Reginald Shields, Sam Seward (grandson), Jim Gilliland, Bill Harvey,Robert Dice, and Robert Mershon. (Bob is Christine Seward's (agranddaughter) husband.)
