Any furtherinformation or>leads will be appreciated.Steve, about the only thing you can do is get a copy of hisCompiled ServiceRecords. It isn't going to tell you a lot more than what youalready havethough. Your second set of notes probably came from them. Idon't knowwhere else you would get his enlistment date. I feel certainthat he was inthe battle of Perryville and captured there and held atHopkinsville. Gen.Bragg had high tailed it back to TN by the 26th so he didn'treturn to dutyto soon if he was in KY. I'd go with the second set of notes.I have acemetery list of Well's Chapel and don't find mention of himthere, howeverif it is a Memorial and was placed there after somewhere around1976 it wasbefore the survey was done.I think the second set of notes is reliable and will add him tomy list ofthe 23rd.============================================================
