  "Cornelius Vanscoy of Milo probated 12 Nov 1829
  "I, Cornelius VanScoy of the town of Milo in the County of Yates, being of sound mind and understanding (blessed be God for the same) do make and publish this my last will & Testament in manner and form following that is to say,
  "First, I order and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be first paid out of my personal estate and in case of a deficiency of assets for that purpose I hereby authorize and empower my Executor hereinafter named to sell and dispose of all or so much of my real estate as may be sufficient to make up the defiiciency of legal assets and to make anx [sic] execute a deed or deeds for the parcel or parcels if sold and generally to do and perform all acts necessary to effecuate my intention to pay said debts if required for that purpose out of my real estate.
  "Secondly, I do hereby give and devise to my beloved wife Rachel all and singular my real estate whatsoever and wheresoever situated for and during so long as she shall remain my widow, and after her death or in case she shall intermarry then I give and devise the same to my seven children (to wit) Hannah, Timothy, Polly, Rebecca, Priscilla, Rachel and Sally to be equally divided between them share and share alike to have and to hold the same real estate and to their heirs and assigns forever from the time of the death or intermarriage of my said wife as aforesaid.
  "Thirdly, I also give and bequeath to my beloved Rachel all my personal property except so much as shall be necessary to pay my just debts and funeral expenses as above directed and also excepting and retaining out of my personal property enough of said personal property as will pay my executors hereinafter for doing and performing the services in this will named and for transacting all such business as shall be necessary to put this will into Execution.
  "Lastly, I hereby appoint Dvaid [sic] Wagener of the town of Milo and County of Yates Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me at amy time heretofore made.
  "In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twelfth day of October in the Year of Our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and twenty nine.
