Text:   Cat Ridge Cemetery North Salem, Westchester County, New York. The following is a transcription made by Jeanne Kornhaas:
"This burial ground, situated on private property, was once associated with a nearby Baptist Church. Timothy Van Scoy erected the first meeting house nearby circa 1978 (this is the date on the sign, but I believe it's a mistake)
This is a transcription from records I made when I walked this cemetery in summer of 2001. They are very, very old and some of them are weather-worn and illegible. This reading contains interments from 1803 to 1889."
Van Scoy. Abraham Jr. d 01 Sep 1844, age 84y 7m 24d, s/o Abraham and Priscilla Van Scoy (on a separate stone: Abraham Van Scoy Jr. Pvt 4 Regt NY Militia Revolutionary War 1760-1844)"

The date on the sign referred to above should probably be 1878, but i am not certain which Timothy Van Scoy erected the meeting house. Further investigation needed.
