James E Burnett - The many friends of James E Burnett of 187 Guilford St in West Saint John were shocked to hear of his sudden death. Occured at the General Hospital on Saturday. Mr Burnett, who was in the freight Department of the Canadian Pacific Railroad in West Saint John was taken ill while at work and was rushed to the hospital where he passed away. He had always enjoyed excellant health. He was the son of the late John Alexander and Elizabeth Burnett and a native of West Saint John for the past 33 years. A native of Kings County, he was employed at CPRailroad for 26 years and was 63 years old. He is survived by 8 sons and 5 daughters. Mrs William DeRoss [Durost] of Caribou, Maine Mrs Whiting McQuarrie of Apple River, Nova Scotia Mrs Elizabeth Gibbs of Montreal Mrs Edmond Stone of Boston. Miss Maude at home. Sons are George, Edgar, John, William, Harry, LeBaron and Albert all of Saint John and Jim of Montreal.
