Note: Bessie Marie Adkins BERNHARDT Age 81 September 29, 2007 Davidson Age 81. Passed away in Bellevue, TN on Saturday, September 29, 2007. She was born in Branchland, West Virginia and predeceased by her husband, Charles Bernhardt; brothers, Edgar and Herbert Adkins; granddaughter, Casey Doughten. Bessie is survived by three children, Rick (Linda) Bernhardt of Nashville, Sam (Denise) Bernhardt of Atlanta and Cheryl Bernhardt of Lebanon; two brothers, Marcus and Howard Adkins; six grandchildren, Shannon (Craig) Baughn, Ashley (Jeff) Howerton, Heather Bernhardt, Jennifer Bernhardt, Melissa Doughten and Jacob Doughten; four great grandchildren, Ethan Doughten, Trinity, Kalyn and Xander Baughn. Bessie graduated from the Emory University School of Nursing and served as the Head Nurse for the medical intensive care unit at Vanderbilt University Hospital, and was a long time member of Arlington United Methodist Church and the Susie Mitchell Sunday School Class.
