Note: Alus Times: Death Obituary Memorial service for Loren (Dakota) Freeland 75, Altus, was set for Tuesday,
Feb. 6, 2001, at the Kincannon Chapel with the Rev. S.K. Robinson officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Loren attended school in rural South Dakota. He was in the farming business prior to
entering the navy on June 13, 1944, in Salem South Dakota. Ending his Navy career 1946 as
Seamen 2nd Class.
Loren traveled all over the midwest and continued farming and working the harvest
crews until his retirement. He was a member of the Baptist Church and Disable
American Veterans.
Survivors include two sisters, Adele Holter, Platte SD. Alice Richard Shelton WA.
Three brothers, Ray Freeland Phoenix AZ. Everette Freeland Boyceville WI. Mickey Glasier Colfax WI.
And my friends at the coffee shop.
Loren Garnet Freeland, at the time of his death was living in Oklahoma, and was never married.
